Industry Partnerships

The Division of Nursing and Midwifery have arrangements with several leading Health Care agencies whereby programs undertaken at these health care organisations may attract credit towards some postgraduate courses offered.

Our Programs

The Division of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University provide high quality, relevant education for the nursing profession in numerous specialty areas. From 2009, students will be provided an opportunity to study at various postgraduate levels including Certificate, Diploma and Masters in areas such as:

  • Acute Care
  • Breast Care
  • Cancer Care
  • Cardiac Care
  • Child, Family and Community
  • Critical Care
  • Emergency Care
  • Intensive Care
  • Mental Health
  • Midwifery
  • Neonatal Intensive Care
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Palliative Care
  • Perioperative Care
  • Perianaesthetic Care
  • Renal Care
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Urological and Continence

The Division also offers students the opportunity to study a Masters program by either Coursework or Research, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Doctor of Nursing (DN) with expert staff supervision.

Our programs are offered full-time, part-time, flexi-mode, on campus and on-line. This allows students to successfully combine study, work and personal commitments.

Continuing Education (Short Courses)

The Division of Nursing and Midwifery offers single units and short courses for professional development in areas such as:

  • Nurse Immunisation
  • Breast Care
  • Nursing Lung Cancer
  • Urological & Continence
  • Prostate Care  
  • Wound Management

Please note: All courses offered will be conducted if sufficient enrolments are achieved.
