The Australian Nursing Federation (SA Branch) is a strong and growing union, providing professional and industrial advice and representation for nurses, midwives and personal care assistants in South Australia. Members in all sectors are well supported by expert assistance for both individual and collective matters. The ANF (SA Branch) assists members to develop and negotiate Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, resulting in positive pay and condition outcomes. Members also have access to other member-only benefits such as the ‘legal telephone advice line’, service discounts and access to many other benefits. The ANF SA Branch’s training arm, the Nursing Industry Skills Centre (NISC), provides training in a range of areas leading to a diploma or certificate qualification including Enrolled Nursing, aged care and mental health. Continuous professional development programs are also held in a range of areas, such as manual handling, computer training and emergency care. These courses, operate from the ANF SA Branch’s new purpose built office and training facility, conveniently based in the Adelaide suburb of Ridleyton. Online training courses are also available in a range of areas including wound care, cardiac and respiratory care.
